Our clients provide CEI with their baseline sampling of existing test points, documenting any issues observed. This testing will encompass CP system current output, test point location information, and gathering of pertinent engineering information including IR drop determinations. Additionally, the expected extents of the CP system(s) are defined with boundaries evaluated. These items are documented and submitted for compliance record keeping.

With our cathodic protection compliance and corrosion monitoring services, we identify critical areas where technology can improve record keeping and monitoring through the installation of remote monitoring units at rectifier and test station locations.  This provides increased CP system awareness and timely response to system changes.

A Methodic Approach

What happens when your assets fail to meet compliance standards? Is your CP system underperforming? We can help. Our technical staff has extensive experience assessing complex systems and identifying unique problems.

Historical Records Review:

The first questions we answer: What? Where? How long? Before we give an answer you already have, we observe which tests have been applied and the conditions therein. We’ll establish a timeline for system changes and isolate the extents of the problem areas.

Field Testing Phase:

Next, we’ll repeat the conditions in the field. We will verify conditions and validate conditions for subsequent test selection. Next, we’ll identify the supplementary tests that complement the conditions.

Test Phase Documentation:

What we did, how it was done and what you should do next. All tests applied are formally documented from selection to results. Expect actionable recommendations to be supplied for remediation.

Remediation Phase:

We’re not done until the problem is solved. We’ll work with our clients to support ongoing remediation activities through Direct Examination support and commissioning of the rehabilitated asset.

Would you like to know the condition of your asset? But not sure where to start? Our technical staff can help you identify the highest probable areas for corrosion damage and provide remedial solutions to extend the remaining life of your asset.

Historical Records Review:

Before you put the first shovel in the ground. We will review your prior survey reports and identify if any additional information is required before proceeding with the field inspection.

Determine Inspection Protocol:

If you need more information, we can help you determine the most expedient field test to collect the vital information necessary to expedite the inspection of your asset.

Document findings:

What did we find and where did you find it? We will document all observed anomalies with photographic documentation, detailed anomaly measures, field observation notes, and precise location that will help you determine the proper remediation.

Report abnormal condition:

Our expert staff can immediately recognize abnormal conditions and report findings in a timely manner to avoid the loss of life and property. Our first priority is to maintain the safe operation of your asset and preserve the surrounding community and environment. Our ability to provide you a detailed report allows you to extend the longevity of your asset.
